For many years Unisoft has been actively involved with Sage Accpac data repairs. As the complexity of the databases has grown, so has the demand on our services. To address this need Unisoft created the Data Services group to help our many clients. The focus of this group has greatly expanded to include services beyond data repairs, hence the name change to "Data Services". The best way to explain what we at the Data Services group do is to give you some examples of the work we have done for our clients.

Data Repairs

When your Sage Accpac data is damaged, the most important factor is fixing your data as quickly as possible, and with total accuracy. This is why Unisoft gives data repair top priority. Changing Fiscal Years

Business is good and you have just purchased another company, but it has a fiscal year different than yours. No problem, we have considerable expertise changing fiscal years for the current business year and historical years as well. This is important in order to have accurate comparative financial statements for the current and historical years. In addition we also handle all the subledgers to ensure they match the GL.

Combining Databases

Somebody clicked on the wrong button and now all your history has been cleared. Time to panic? Not yet. We’ve successfully taken many backup copies of databases and combined them with the current database, ensuring that all data integrity checks pass. You may also have multiple AR or AP databases that need to be combined together. We’ve also taken this task on many times to the satisfaction of our clients.

Conversion from other Accounting Software Systems

If you need to move data from a non-ACCPAC system, we can assist you in extracting information from other databases and creating the necessary files needed to populate your new ACCPAC system. Once again, our emphasis is on doing this accurately to ensure the integrity of your ACCPAC system is maintained.

Putting your database on a "Diet"

There are times when your database just grows and grows and attempts to shrink it just don’t work (like trying to stick to a diet). We have the tools and have put many large databases on a "diet" for our clients. The result, a much better performing accounting system.

Converting from Previous Versions of ACCPAC

Sometimes it takes more than just installing your new upgrades and converting your data to the latest version of Sage Accpac. There may be hidden corruption in your database preventing a successful upgrade. An international airline engaged us to upgrade their 1.5 Gig database from V1.0 (yes 1.0!) all the way up to 4.2. We completed it and had it back to them on a weekend with minimal downtime.
