Sage Accpac ERP Financial Statements are designed and formatted with the use of Microsoft Excel. When the financial statement designer is launched from within the General Ledger module in Sage Accpac, Microsoft Excel appears with a plug-in which allows users to drill down into their general accounts and allocate the desired corresponding information into their financial statements within seconds. Version 5.5 of Sage Accpac ERP now includes 10 new Financial Statements Specs that can be used as templates that can be easily modified as well. The use of Microsoft Excel for financial statement design provides ease of use and flexibility for anyone who is even mildly familiar with the program. There is no need to memorize formulas or deal with complex coding or formatting either as reference sheets are readily available for inserting formulas. Due to Sage Accpac ERP’s seamless and powerful integration with Microsoft Excel, financial statements in Sage Accpac ERP are easy to design and this is especially the case for accountants who often prefer using Excel for many of their accounting procedures.
